Databites are Data & Society's weekly lunch conversations focused on unresolved questions and timely topics of interest to our community. To request an invitation, please email events at data society dot net.

Chris Wiggins will discuss how his earlier research on applications of machine learning in biology has influenced his work on advancing the field of data science by improving ties between industry and academia. Chris will also discuss his efforts to prove how the general advances in the natural sciences brought about by data science can benefit larger companies, particularly the New York Times, where he is Chief Data Scientist.
