Adam Berenzweig on deep learning, machine perception, and the future of memory:

Adam will briefly review the ongoing revolution in machine learning, focusing on neural networks and machine perception, and will present a short early-stage demo of these new tricks applied to images gathered from his daily life. Then he will discuss what it means to record one’s entire life, the etiquette and ethics around that, who would and would not want to do such a thing, and what it might do to society.
