Irene Chung (she/her) is Data & Society’s project manager for strategy and digital infrastructure. She brings together a larger cross-department strategy team, helping program directors and others across the organization to collectively reflect on and align their work to D&S’s thematic priorities, ritualize iterative learning processes, and assess their impact. Irene designs tools aimed at helping colleagues work closely to address collective challenges, identify opportunities for collaboration across teams, and facilitate an understanding of how organizational goals cascade, connect, and add up across teams. Her work is deeply rooted in building structures that support continuous growth and strategic reflection, ensuring the organization’s mission is advanced in accordance with our values.
Through her nünchi (a Korean concept of one’s innate social sensitivity) and an extensive background in operations and strategy, Irene brings a nuanced approach to project management, addressing both the digital and human needs of the organization.
