David P. Ortiz is Data & Society’s senior human resources manager. He is a results-driven human resources professional with over 15 years of experience in managing HR functions and operations and driving strategic initiatives. Previously, he worked at IPG Health, a division of the Interpublic Group of Companies. Positions he has held include senior HR manager and associate director, compensation business partner.

David earned his executive master of science degree from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College/CUNY, where his studies focused on areas including industrial and labor relations, human resources management, collective bargaining, and employment law. He currently holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and the Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation.
