Joanna Gould leads Data & Society’s development and fundraising efforts. She has spent over fifteen years working in strategy, fundraising, and development for nonprofit organizations that focus on creative practice, technology, and social justice. 

Joanna began her career managing small nonprofits in Australia. Over time, she began to specialize in relationship cultivation, long-term development strategy, and partnerships. Prior to joining Data & Society, Joanna worked as director of operations at Eyebeam in Brooklyn, and in Australia as development manager of Going Down Swinging, grant and tour coordinator at Regional Arts Victoria, and acting director of Utopian Slumps Gallery. 

Joanna holds a master’s degree from the University of Melbourne, and a bachelor’s from the University of Western Australia.
