Ethan So is an alumnus of Data & Society, where he worked with Dan Bouk on the Contested Data Project. He completed his bachelor’s degree as a History major at Colgate University. He has researched the history of Hong Kong immigration towards Canada, United Kingdom, and United States. In the future, he is interested in this history’s connection with Chinese foreign relations and the complex intersection with modern data and privacy concerns. He hopes to work towards a society more understanding of the global context and more accepting of group differences.
