Human Resources Manager: We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to contribute to the overall success of the organization’s mission by leading HR processes for our growing organization. Help us attract, motivate, and retain the most qualified talent. You will work closely with our staff across the organization to keep D&S a fun and welcoming workplace. This full-time job would be eligible for a flexible schedule with 2-3 days per week required at Data & Society’s office in the Flatiron district of Manhattan. This position reports to the director of operations.

Research Analyst (accountability): We’re seeking a research analyst who is passionate and engaged about topics in the area of media and accountability. The research analyst will work on “Reimagining Accountability,” a project building from our Algorithms and Publics work, which investigated the role played by algorithms and data-driven processes – and the centralized platforms which use them ‐ in altering political and public discourse. We are seeking candidates with a background in journalism, media studies, or communications. Apply by December 19 Application deadline extended to January 11, 2017.
