Emnet Tafesse, a Data & Society affiliate, was previously a researcher with the AI on the Ground program. She has a passion for using advocacy, research, and policy to create positive social change and a more equitable world. Earlier, Emnet worked on an array of projects related to criminal justice reform and education at the University of Chicago’s Urban Labs. She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Howard University, and a master’s in public policy with a certificate in global conflict studies from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy.
