R. Joshua Scannell is a PhD candidate in sociology and the CUNY Graduate Center. His work focuses on the relationship between contemporary digital technologies and changing logics of policing and incarceration. He has published in both academic and non-academic settings, recently including DIS Magazine, Boundary 2, and Real Life Magazine.
