As managing editor, Eryn Loeb works to advance Data & Society’s editorial communications and connect the organization’s research and insights with broader audiences. Before joining D&S, she served as lead writer and editor at the Ford Foundation. She has also worked as an editorial and strategic communications consultant for organizations including the Environmental Defense Fund, the Collaborative for Gender + Reproductive Equity, and the NoVo Foundation.
In her role as a nonfiction editor with Guernica magazine, Eryn worked with emerging writers and established authors on essays, reportage, and commentary wrestling with and reflecting our cultural moment. Her own essays and reviews have appeared in publications including Longreads, Poets & Writers, The Los Angeles Times, Bookforum, and BOMB. She earned a bachelor’s degree in women’s and gender studies from Rutgers University, and a master’s in journalism from New York University’s Cultural Reporting and Criticism program.
