Public Technology Leadership Collaborative
The Public Technology Leadership Collaborative (PTLC) is a peer learning community anchored by research institutions and guided by an advisory group of leading scholars and policy experts.
What We Do
PTLC includes more than 500 people — scholars, practitioners, and state, local, and federal government leaders — who cultivate trust-based relationships to ensure that data and technology serve the public interest.
Working closely with Data & Society’s policy engagement team, the PTLC supports government leaders through peer learning, expert matchmaking, community building, timely policy response, and in-depth analysis. Together, we collaborate with state AG representatives, governors’ offices, agencies, and legislators to model an alternative to the status quo — where technology procurement, use, and policy are grounded in a sociotechnical approach guided by values of justice, equity, and accountability.
