Sam Hinds Garcia is Data & Society’s Director of Communications.
She was most recently principal of communications design studio Tact Department, Director of Marketing & Communications for Creative Time, Program Director of the MakerBot Foundation, and Editor-at-Large of The New Inquiry. She was previously Editor-in-Chief of Fortnight, the first documentary on the millennial generation. Before working in media, she coordinated policymaker and civil society outreach at the International Center for Transitional Justice, a post-conflict accountability NGO. She also worked for Eurasia Group, a political risk research consultancy.
