Zachary Gold is senior director of cable/broadband franchises and special projects at the City of New York Office of Technology and Innovation. As an attorney working in technology and telecommunications law and policy, his work focuses on ensuring access to affordable telecommunications technologies, and that people have the tools and training they need to use those technologies safely, securely, and effectively.
Previously, Zachary was a research analyst at Data & Society, focused on human rights issues raised by telecommunications and related technologies. His work centered on the use of technology by marginalized and under-represented groups such as refugees and students, and technological and procedural tools to protect them from harm.
Zachary completed his JD at the American University Washington College of Law and his MPP at SUNY Stony Book.
